Titan and Serpent (Series)
After the world falls and is born anew, a woman who was once a mountain, possessed of two souls, tries to find her place in the new world. Carrying within her the bones and spirits of the city that was once Toronto, the Stranger has taken many names. Immortal, she seeks to piece together her history over the course of lifetimes in a world where ghosts roam wild and the bodies of fallen or slumbering colossi (the Stranger’s sister mountains) rest alongside the stone worms they fought — great beasts who once devoured the living and the dead as they sought to reshape the earth.
It is a world of women rebuilding societies through cyclical rise and fall. A world where the Stranger seeks her history across cities and continents. A world where change and memory are the only constants left now that the world we know has ended.
Titan and Serpent is a 1,250 year queer eco-fiction odyssey told in linked stories — a narrative of identity, transformation, personal and cultural memory, how we embody our cities and they us, and the cycle of societal collapse and rebuilding.
Reprints of existing stories set in this series are available now free to read, with a collection of existing and new stories in the Titan and Serpent universe slated for release in Fall 2026. We’ll be fundraising for costs related to the latter in October.
