The Samhain Sale has Begun!

We’re kicking off our October holiday sale a couple days early, and so the Samhain Sale is here: featuring three of our horrorotica Hulderotica stories (Claimed by the Coven, Killing it on Campus, and The Saw-Toothed Solution) free until the end of October. As well as 50% off new Hulderotica subscripions.

(“But Kaya, you’re Danish,” you say. “Why not use one of the names of the Nordic spookier observances?” Because Álfablót is usually practiced as a sacrifice to dead male ancestors — which, no thank you — and Fastelavn falls in February/March — it moves around.)

Speaking to subscriptions, the 2026 Hulderotica Subscriptions are now live! Which means right out of the gate you can grab a discounted subscription to our 2026 titles (all 24 in the second and final year of Hulderotica’s planned run). Annual subscription also include the collected edition released once a year’s run finishes in December (with the collection edition out the following March.)

We’ve also made one additional change to the shop while setting up for the sale: The Monsterfucking Pride Month Sale included the Seasonal Samplers as part of discounted subscriptions. But no one really buys the samplers (haven’t sold one since near the start of the year), so we’ve taken them down. They were just taking up space in the store, and I like to keep it as uncluttered as I can.

In any case, you can grab our discounted subscriptions from the Huldra House store, and the three Hulderotica titles are on sale through both our store and Itchio page.
